Finding the DMV value of a vehicle?

I will soon be registering a vehicle in NC and was wondering what they use to determine the value of a vehicle.|||The answer varies by location. In most they will use what you paid for the car as per the receipt or bill of sale, or the fair market value, which ever is the higher amount.|||Usually it's Kelly Blue Book. Your local library will have a copy.
