How long does it take to get a ID card from the dmv?

ill be needing it very soon (1-2days) and is wondering how long does it take to get it? Also if you can tell me how long the whole process is? Im from NC|||Normally, a few minutes, plus waiting in line at the DMV. Since a picture needs to be taken and installed on the card, it should be very quick. Hope your State doesn't mail it to you.|||In most states (I do not know about NC specifically), they give you a temporary license made out of paper immediately, on the spot, and then they mail you a permanent license made out of plastic later.|||Those wheels turn slow and maybe one to two weeks, however they will give


you a paper temporary one at most DMV's...|||In Washington State, it's 3 minutes or so...
