Are the NC DMV's open on election day?

I am going to get my license and I dont want to go there and they be closed|||I see nothing mentioned on the NC DMV web site, so it's likely they are open. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask, however, here in Maryland the DMV offices are closed for election day.|||It is not a holiday, so they should be open.|||I hope so, I'm going to get mine too.|||Call 'em up and ask! God, I get tired of typing that phrase!
