Can a grandparent take you to the DMV to get your permit?

If your parent is unable to take you to the DMV (in NC), can a grandparent take you and sign to be your supervising driver.|||Yes they can.|||Best to call the local DMV office. It used to be that only parents or legal guardian could sign.|||Yes, it was my aunt that took me, of course that was several years ago, but it shouldn't be a problem.|||yes they can...good luck and best wish's
