Transferring car title and registration without bill of sale in nc?

I bought this car awhile ago and the seller signed the title over to me and got it notarized by a bank, but i lost the proof that I bought it for 2700. How will they determine the price of the tax and will i still be able transfer the title at the dmv and get it registered without any proof of how much i paid for the car? Also what are the steps in transferring titles and registering the car in nc|||they do not care what you paid for it they go by blue book value. go to dmv and they will send info to raleigh|||To register a vehicle purchased from an individual:

Furnish the title properly assigned, and notarized to you. If any liens are shown on the front of the vehicle's title, you will need a lien release.

Complete the Title Application (MVR-1), declaring all liens, signed in the presence of a notary.

If the vehicle is less than 10 years old, you must supply an odometer disclosure statement signed by both the seller and the buyer.

A Damage Disclosure Statement (MVR-181) is required.

The title will be issued and mailed to the owner or if a lien is declared, to the lienholder.

If the vehicle is coming from out-of-state, the owner has 10 days to have vehicle inspected in North Carolina.

A Declaration of Eligible Risk (MVR-615) is required.
